Defining Directions for District 4

Putting Coeur d’Alene First, Not Outside Interests

District 4 deserves a representative who answers to our families — not to Boise insiders or out‑of‑state special interests.
Christa Hazel has always stood up for our community when it counted — protecting North Idaho College, strengthening our schools, and keeping decisions local.

She believes leadership means listening to neighbors, not taking cues from political machines. We don’t need someone who speaks for outside groups — we need someone who stands up for us.

Because Coeur d’Alene’s future should never be for sale.

Coeur d’Alene First, Not Outside Interests

A true representative answers to you, not to political machines.

  • District 4 deserves a representative who listens to Coeur d’Alene families; not to Boise insiders or out‑of‑state groups.

  • I’m running to restore local accountability, decisions about North Idaho should be made in North Idaho.

  • When I served on the Coeur d’Alene School Board and helped save North Idaho College, I didn’t answer to any political organization; I answered to my neighbors.

  • I’ll take that same independence to Boise: no strings attached, no outside agenda.

  • Too many politicians talk about “local control,” I’ve actually practiced it.

  • The question is simple: Do you want a representative who fights for this community, or one who takes direction from somewhere else?

  • I’ll always choose Coeur d’Alene; because this is home, and it’s worth protecting.

Conservative and Effective

Doing what works; for Idaho, not ideology.

  • Being a conservative isn’t about making headlines, it’s about making life better for Idaho families.

  • I believe in lower taxes, responsible budgets, and local control; because that’s how we protect freedom and opportunity for the next generation.

  • True conservatism means protecting property rights, supporting our schools, and keeping our communities safe.

  • My goal isn’t to be the loudest voice in Boise, it’s to be the most effective one for Coeur d’Alene.

  • Idahoans deserve results, not rhetoric. That’s what I’ve delivered before, and that’s what I’ll do again.

  • Leadership should be about service, stewardship, and solutions, not slogans.

The NIC Story — Proof of Character

When our community was tested, Christa stepped up.

  • When political power plays threatened North Idaho College’s accreditation, and our local economy, I didn’t wait for someone else to act. I stepped forward.

  • I co‑founded Save NIC, rallying neighbors across party lines to protect an institution that supports families, jobs, and opportunity here in North Idaho.

  • That fight wasn’t about politics; it was about our students, our community, and our future.

  • The same outside forces that tried to undermine NIC are now backing my opponent; but I’ve beaten them before, and I’ll do it again.

  • I didn’t back down then, and I won’t back down now, because this community deserves leaders who fight for it, not over it.

  • Standing up for what’s right, even when it’s tough, that’s who I am. That’s who I’ll be in Boise.

Property Taxes — The Tangible Deliverable

Protecting your paycheck, your property, and your peace of mind.

  • Property taxes are crushing Idaho families — and politicians keep talking instead of fixing.

  • Coeur d’Alene homeowners deserve real, lasting tax relief, not empty promises.

  • I’ll work to cap runaway assessments, demand transparency, and make sure local taxpayers keep more of what they earn.

  • Families shouldn’t be taxed out of the neighborhoods they built.

  • I answer to the people who pay the bills — not to the insiders and outside groups that fund campaigns.

  • You’ve seen what I can do when I fight for this community — we win. Now let’s win property tax relief that lasts.
